Liverpool won the Champions League, beating Tottenham

Liverpool defeated Tottenham in London and won the Champions League for the first time since 2005.

The final match of the two English clubs, held on Saturday at the Madrid stadium “Metropolitano”, ended with a victory for Liverpool with a score of 2:0. Goals were scored by Mohamed Salah (2nd minute, penalty) and Divock Origi (87th).

Already in the first minute of the meeting, Tottenham defender Moussa Sissoko played a hand in his penalty area, and the chief referee Damir Skomina appointed an eleven-meter kick, which Salah realized. In the 87th minute, Origi hit the goal of Hugo Lloris, setting the final score in the match.

The game began with a minute of silence in memory of the former football team of Spain Jose Antonio Reyes, who died in an accident on Saturday morning.
